"Amazons the Banks of the Neva" - Female Submission Wrestling Tournament
Producer: Russian Athletic Club - 60 minutes - downloadable video or DVD
Attire: various 2 piece outfits
The tournament was held in two weight categories by round robin:
1) Over 60 kg:
- Alessya 62 kg
- Tais 62 kg
- Dasha 65 kg (newcomer, first matches in submission karate-do background)
Though newcomer Dasha did well in her very first matches in this category the public attention was riveted to the archrivals -
Alessya and Tais. The former was seeking revenge, both out of pride and very considerable prize offered by her personal sponsor
if she managed to beat Tais. I believe he must be thankful for the enegry and skill with which Tais defendd his budget! But
did she allow the sponsor to keep his money in his pocket?
2) Under 60 kg:
- Cathreen 53
- Sirena 54
- Tsunami 54
The best match in this category (and imho in female submission wrestling ever!) is Tsunami vs Sirena.
Both girls demonstrated a great combative spirit.
